Overview

The newly illuminated Big Dam Bridge has become a statewide attraction and visible from multiple vantage points along the Arkansas River and within the Little Rock area. The bridge, which spans the Arkansas River, is 4,226 feet long, with a span over the river totaling 3,463 feet, according to the US Army Corps of Engineers. Billed as one of North America's longest pedestrian and bicycle bridge, construction was completed in August 2006.
